Barn Find Flip School
Lesson summary: Use low-cost presentation improvements that increase buyer confidence.
Goal
Show members how to improve presentation without erasing the character of a true find.
The Barn Find Clean-Up Rule
Preserve the story. Remove filth, not history. A buyer should understand both where the car came from and what condition it is actually in.
Take Photos Before Cleaning
Document the garage, barn, storage spot, dust, old plates, paperwork, parts piles, and loading process when possible.
Cleaning That Adds Value
- Wash the exterior carefully.
- Vacuum the interior.
- Clean glass.
- Organize loose parts.
- Air up tires.
- Lightly clean the engine bay.
What Buyers Need to See
Exterior, interior, engine bay, underside, floors, trunk, rockers, VIN/data plate, paperwork, included parts, and videos if the car runs.
Member Action
Use the Barn Find Photo Shot List before listing the car.
